Botanical Illustration - Kale

I took a Botanical Illustration class with Elizabeth Mancini, and made this decorative kale drawing. (It is partly dried out, but in a kind of neat way.)

I finally updated my website (it is www.joellesept.com) and the newest things I have created are these:

They are both part of the story I'm inventing to give structure to my illustrative urges.

There is this: being an attempt to make a colour-by-numbers mountain painting, without having outlines first, or with being a mountain, or with having specific colours. It was looking rather ugly for a while, but I think I managed to pull it together, and I'm rather happy with it now!
